YUCG welcomes you to an exciting year where we will be tackling projects for Fortune 500 companies, making new memories, and connecting with friends, new and old. Here's what we are looking forward to!
Updates for Fall 2022
The Organization
In Spring 2022, YUCG underwent a complete redesign of its organizational structure. We have siloed business operations within specific teams to improve efficiency, designed talent pipelines to aid member retention, and built out consulting leadership roles to head our client work. This new structure will allow us to build institutional memory and deliver more consistent client work as we enter a period of high growth. We have seen exceptionally high application numbers for both board and project manager positions. To see these new roles, check out the YUCG website About Us page for our complete board roster. We are actively seeking incorporation as a 501c(3) organization.
Our Clients
Our Fall 2022 client portfolio is composed of five Fortune 500 companies. We recently concluded a summer project with a Fortune 100 tech company. Project highlights from the 2021-2022 academic year include our first repeat client and a special focus on environmental consulting.

'21 - '22 Client Project Highlights
Gatorade
Our client was interested in exploring potential partnerships for a new initiative. The team conducted 100+ surveys and in-depth interviews of target consumers, then went on to leverage those insights to provide targeted recommendations for Gatorade. The client was impressed with the team’s diligence and plans to use the team’s work.
"YUCG were awesome partners and executed an impressive recommendation. The team met all deliverables and also stretched themselves to dig deeper into consumer insights before presenting a final action plan."
With the goal of increasing user retention, the team interviewed academic and industry experts, researched competitors, and performed 98 in-depth focus interviews to produce “target” consumer personas. LinkedIn was impressed by YUCG’s suggestions and will be implementing one of our recommendations!
"YUCG was very professional from scoping to execution. They delivered a great work product that was very insightful for our team."
A Global Producer of Plant-Based Meat
Our client was focused on how they should expand into the alternative meats frozen foods market. Of particular interest were the team’s findings on consumer willingness to pay and, more broadly, the needs, preferences, and behavioral motivations of different consumer personas. Our client expressed the insightfulness of these findings and that they will inform their product and marketing strategy when it comes to these types of consumers.
An Agri-tech Startup
We worked with a mission-driven, agriculture technology firm transforming how greens and fruits are being produced through indoor vertical farming. The team conducted exploratory analyses on pricing, competitors, and consumer trends for potential expansion into the Northeast. Members traveled to grocery stores and produce managers throughout New York, Connecticut, and New Jersey to gather primary data on pricing and stocking trends. This team ultimately developed a 3-phase go-to-market strategy, including specific geographic locations of where the client should enter, what products they should offer, and how they should price those products to provide themselves with a competitive advantage.
A Venture Capital Firm
The team conducted qualitative research on multiple trends of decarbonization, delving into sustainable investments, EV technology, the carbon market, and new environmental regulation. They also produced a mockup of a “decarbonization dashboard” for the client's use on their website.
"The team went above and beyond my expectations and worked highly autonomously. I will definitely do more projects with YUCG!"
A Decarbonization Developer Tools Startup
The team conducted 15 expert interviews, speaking with academics such as the Director of Yale Center for Business and the Environment and industry professionals at companies such as Amazon, REI, and Nestle. They also conducted a consumer survey with 69 respondents, which help them to synthesize their findings and produce targeted product and marketing recommendations to grow the client's product reach.
